Cheering About US Demographics?
There are thousands of arguments why the US is not Japan. Demographics is one of them. I have been musing about inequality a lot, but look at latest data here. While I still do not love Krugman (but I am impressed, and will, likley, start loving at later stages of economic pain?), he explains why the argument of better demography in US as a reason avoiding Japanese experience is false.
