Edward Hugh (http://allaboutedwardhugh.blogspot.com/) has a new compilation of data and views about Estonia' s Macro-economy. It is worth reading, as there is smaller risk of domestic bias and "the big swinging dicks" (FT Alphaville had more on that concept some time ago http://ftalphaville.ft.com/blog/2008/11/26/18734/quant-blame-me/).
The full article by Edward is available here: http://balticeconomy.blogspot.com/2009/01/consumer-inflation-slows-as-industrial.html.
Edward writes about misplaced policies to respond to current rout. Well, I do not agree to everything that seems to be right for Edward, but it is worth considering for the reasons mentioned above ...
I have one issue in mind that actually has been little discussed not only in Latvia and Baltics, but globally. It is developing, and relates to current crisis globally and the role of wealth and income distribution to cope with crisis ... I hope to have a piece of some opinion in the coming blog posts.
